Knowing Your Blood Test Results
Due to a large volume of blood test results received by the practice everyday, we do not contact patients routinely.
If you have undergone a blood test or any other investigation recently, and would like to know the result, click here to send an e-mail requesting results of your test.
You may also get these results by ringing the surgery; please ring the practice on 020 3582 0000 between 14:30 and 16:00.
The following results are available:
X-ray / Ultrasound / MRI – after 2 weeks
Blood Test – after 1 week
All other investigations - after 2 weeks
Blood tests are taken for many different reasons. For example, to:
- Help diagnose certain conditions, or to rule them out if symptoms suggest possible conditions.
- Monitor the activity and severity of certain conditions. For example, a blood test may help to see if a condition is responding to treatment.
- Check the body's functions such as liver and kidney function when you are taking certain medicines which may cause side-effects.
- Check your blood group before receiving a blood transfusion.
